In 2022, the World Ocean Council (WOC) and The Ocean Opportunity Lab (TOOL) organised a global competition focused on innovative solutions and technologies that may improve the prevention, management and monitoring of marine biofouling.
The Innovation Competition was open to startups, innovators, researchers and collaborative initiatives, with 3 general categories where there is a critical demand for sustainable solutions:
