International workshop Galapagos

Below are three tour options available to participants in the International workshop organised under the GloFouling Partnerships project in the Galapagos Islands. All tours will be held on the same day - Monday 5 June.

Lunch and snorkelling equipment are included, if relevant for the tour. More information about the logistics will be shared with you once you arrive to Ecuador.

Duration: 3-4 hours. Hiking and snorkeling. Visit to Playa de los Perros (largest marine iguanas in the island), Canal de Tiburones (viewing of blue sharks and lava herons) and Las Grietas (lava fissures).

Duration: 7-8 hours. Snorkeling (sea lions, turtles, rays, white tipped sharks and tropical fish) and beach walking. This option requires 1.5 hours by boat to the island (and back).

Duration: 11 hours. Hiking and snorkeling. Panoramic views of the volcanic landscapes (30-40 min trek to viewpoint), snorkeling in Bahia Sullivan (2hrs - sea lions, green sea turtles, rays and tropical fish, and in dry season, penguins) and visit Playa Dorada. Travel by boat is 2 hours (and return).
